Is it really a problem?

If you look around, you will easily find at least five plastic objects. Look at your phone or your laptop. Many drinks come in plastic bottles. You carry them in plastic bags. Most toys are plastic, too.

Plastic is everywhere and it lives for many years. When it comes into the seas and oceans it breaks up into small pieces and the fish eat it. It is poisonous to them. When humans eat fish and seafood, they are also eating plastic. Can I tell you a secret? Some 8 years ago, the world's oceans contained 165 million tons of plastic. Scary, isn't it?
