2 Animals and continents
Watch the video and match the words and pictures.
There are a lot of animals that we can find all over the world, like sheep, cows, cats, mice, pigs, dogs or horses, but there are also animals that only live on specific continents.
Let’s start with the coldest continent, Antarctica, where we can find albatrosses and seals. In South America, there are colourful toucans and friendly alpacas. In the rivers of North America, we can find dangerous alligators and cute beavers.
In contrast to America, in Europe, we can see beautiful white Arctic foxes. If you visit the Mediterranean countries, you should be aware of venomous black widow spiders. The world’s tallest mammal, the giraffe, as well as the endangered gorilla live only in Africa. The panda is one of the best-known Asian animals, but the amazing Draco lizard, which can fly, also lives there. Down under, Australia is the kingdom of kangaroos and the emu, an extraordinary flightless bird.
