3 Extracurricular activities

Listen and click on the words that you hear. What kind of extracurricular activities have you got in your school? Would you like to have any other extracurricular activities? Which? What can you do about it?

We learn about different things in school. This is why we have different subjects like Science, Art, Music, Maths, foreign languages, PE or IT. But there are also some activities that we can choose. We don't have tests and we don't get grades in these activities, but we have to be responsible because they are our choice. They are called extracurricular activities. I like singing so I'm in the school choir. My friend Ben plays the drums in the school band called Underground, so we sometimes perform together. Janet is mad about chemistry and doing experiments, so she attends the Young Scientists Club, and her brother George is the best dancer in our Dancing Club. We also have a school magazine where you can write articles about our school life. Our School Photographers Club is very important for our magazine because it's more interesting to read all the articles with photos.

We take part in different extracurricular activities, but we work together as a team.
