Everybody has their special day - their birthday. When is your birthday? Millions of people celebrate their birthday on the same day so every day is a special day for someone.
There are also days when there is a reason to celebrate regardless of people’s birthdays. People from all around the world know about these days and they organize different events to mark them. The 15th May is the International Day of Families, so families get together for lunch or dinner or they go on a field trip. If you live in Europe, a continent with many different cultures and languages, you’ll probably celebrate the European Day of Languages on 26th September.
It is very important to be aware of our differences and people with disabilities, who are valuable members of our societies. The 3rd December is their day.
It is very well known that laughing keeps us in a good mood and that it’s even good for our health. It’s good to laugh every day but still… there’s World Laughter Day. It is celebrated on the first Sunday in May just to remind us of how important good mood and positive vibrations are.
