1 What's the time?

Listen to the following sound recordings and select the correct image of the time mentioned in the recording.

It is twenty to six.

It is a quarter past nine.

It is half past five.

It is one o’clock.

It is ten to ten.

It is ten past ten.

It is twenty-five past seven.

It is four o’clock.

It is half past four.

REMEMBER BOX

CLOCK TIME
Say the minutes first and then the hours.
A clock with the shorter hand pointing to 7 and the longer one pointing to 0. It is seven o'clock.
A clock with the shorter hand pointing to slightly after 7 and the longer one pointing to 3. It is quarter past seven.
A clock with the shorter hand half way between 7 and 8 and the longer one pointing to 6. It is half past seven.
A clock with the shorter hand pointing to slightly before 7 and the longer one pointing at 10. It is ten to seven.

2 Write it

What's the time? Look at the clocks and write the time in words, not in numbers. Remember to use capital letter and full stop.

Read about daily routines. Match the sentences and the clocks. Check your answers.

4 Organize the routines

Put daily routines in the correct order for you and check your answers. Use the routines to talk about your day. Make an audio on your mobile phone or tablet and listen to it. You can order the routines as you like it.
