1 The Ugly Duckling
Mother Duck lives on a farm. She has five little eggs and one big egg in the nest. One day, the eggs start cracking. Baby ducklings come out. Then the big egg starts cracking and the ugly duckling comes out. Nobody wants to play with him. “Go away. You’re ugly!” they all say. The ugly duckling is sad. He tries to find new friends. But nobody wants to be his friend. He runs away from home and hides. The spring comes. The ugly duckling goes to the pond. He is thirsty and he puts his beak into the water. He sees a beautiful, white bird! “Wow! Who’s that?” he thinks. “It’s you”, a beautiful bird says. “Me? But I’m an ugly duckling”. “No, you aren’t. You are a beautiful swan.”

There is a little girl. Her name is Goldilocks. She has golden hair. One day, Goldilocks walks into the forest. She sees a house and knocks on the door. She goes inside. There is nobody there. Goldilocks sees three bowls on the table. She is hungry.
“This porridge is too hot!

This porridge is just right!”
Goldilocks eats all the porridge. Goldilocks is tired now.
“This chair is too big!

This chair is just right!”
The chair breaks. She goes upstairs.
“This bed is too hard!

Soon, the bears come home.
“Look at the bowls!”
“Look at the chairs!”

Goldilocks wakes up and sees the three bears. “Help!” She runs downstairs and into the forest.
